In Loving Memory ...

Funeral Service
Trinity Baptist Church, Kaufman, TX
Friday 6/3 11:00 AM

I am on my way to Kaufman for a dear friend's funeral service. A faithful servant of God, a good husband, and a wonderful friend.

Dub was one of the first people I met when I resigned my church in Wamsutter, WY and moved to Dallas to start my studies at (then) The Criswell Center for Biblical Studies ... now simply Criswell College.

Dub Henry was Dr. Paige Patterson's right hand man who wore a lot of different hats at the college. Little did I know then that a year later, Dr. Patterson would ask me to come on board at the college and he put Bro. Dub over me as my mentor.

He could make you laugh in a second ... he could put a look of amazed wonderment on his face where you would just burst out laughing.  He introduced me to the Radio Shack laptop (first one EVER made) ... the TRS 100 and we spent hours together. Sometimes on the road to a SBC National Convention ... sometimes waiting in line at the Bulk Mail Center to drop off the monthly newsletter / request for gifts, and so much more. Dub had been in the banking business for years when he felt the call to learn the Bible more deeply (he would say, "I'm not called to preach!") ... yet in these latter years, he would wonderfully shepherd God's people in Kemp, TX and in Kaufman.

If you knew Dub, you loved Dub. I can't wait for that day when we see each other in glory.
