Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides hit theaters on May 20th and we can't seem to get enough about pirates ... here are some numbers on digital piracy (thanks to FastCompany May 2011).

1. 23.8% of global Internet traffic involves digital theft of copyrights work. The U.S. is No. 1 in illegal downloads.

2. 42% of all video downloads are pornographic videos. More than 100 million people use the BitTorrent site each month.

3. Avatar has been illegally downloaded more than 16,580,000 times, making it the most-pirated film of 2010.

4. 95% of all online music downloads are illegal.

5. In 2010, Lady Gaga's music was the MOST illegally downloaded and Britney Spears's "Telephone" was the No. 1 illegally downloaded track.
