Quiet time with Linda ... our daughter, Erica ... and granddaughter, Brianna!

We are enjoying a lazy day ... reading and napping ... snacking and reading. Opened the bird cage door and Kat flew around the house. We have two parakeets, Kit and Kat! Kat is the adventurous one. We always have to shut off the fan, close off the laundry room and then try to keep him from flying upstairs. It's good exercise for the both of us.

I am reading on my Kindle ... I have a great book by Brian Greene titled, The Elegant Universe: Superstrings, Hidden Dimensions, and the quest for the Ultimate Theory. Yes ... more physics, Quantum Theory, and general and special relativity! I am a sucker for that.

Some good friends gave us some HUGE steaks and Linda and I just prepped them for the grill. Can't wait to cut into them. Another friend gave us string beans and potatoes straight from his garden and we will have those, too.

And what is Memorial Day without some Blue Bell Ice Cream; we have two kinds today ... Peaches and Cream and Summer Berry. If you have not tried the Summer Berry, you need to hustle right on down to Kroger's, H.E.B., Albertson's, or Brookshire's and get you some. Words cannot describe the taste.
