I Read a Lot ...
And, I read a lot of different genres; thrillers, history, autobiographies, theology, books of sermons from hundreds of years ago ... and it goes on and on and on! As a matter of fact, I read more now than I did ten, fifteen, or even twenty years ago. And, I read a LOT back then!I have always loved to read; I would sit on my mother's lap at an early age (2-3 yrs old) and she would read to me, point the words out and as I grew, I developed a love for books and the knowledge they contain. I read fiction and non-fiction ... books on art and on being a Marine sniper! I read books from the Puritan fathers where they would write 50-100 pages on one verse in the Bible! And, I usually have six or seven books going at one time.
That might sound unnatural to you ... maybe not. I have told you all of that to point you to a book that is well-written and that I find fascinating. Written by Dr. Michio Kaku, it is Hyperspace: A scientific odyssey through parallel universes, time warps, and the 10th dimension. Kaku is a professor of theoretical physics at the City College of the City University of New York.
Chapters deal with "The Man Who "saw" the Fourth Dimension," Vibrations in the fifth dimension, Quantum Heresy, and ... (wait for it ... wait for it), Superstrings. That is the holy grail of physicists; Quantum Mechanics or General Relativity ... String Theory is where it is at. This is not light reading but it is great reading.
