The magazine, Technology Review, provides their annual list of Emerging Technologies. It is fascinating as I scan the list. It runs the gamut from social indexing (Twitter, Facebook) to Cancer Genomics to solid-state batteries and crash-proof code (no more blue screen of death)!

Cloud Streaming is becoming quite popular (if you are an Amazon fan, you can purchase your books or music and have Amazon save them in "the cloud" ... on their servers where you can access the material from any computer, smart phone, Kindle, etc., in the world.

The emerging technologies also look at synthetic cells (building cells outside the body and inserting them into a living human being). You can find more information HERE ...
