The back of this book ( The Believer's Payday) says, "According to the Scriptures, how a believer lives right now impacts the results of that "payday" — the appearance before the Judgment Seat of Christ.Understanding the subject of rewards, which was frequently discussed by Christ and his apostles, is critical for developing a biblical worldview and for producing endurance in the Christian life."

Two things; First, the believer's appearance before Christ does NOT affect his personal salvation ... but it does GREATLY AFFECT his life in the coming kingdom of Christ. And secondly, this is an area that is neither taught nor preached very much.

For over a year now, I have been studying this area of scripture as I have had questions regarding rewards, the judgment of Christians, and does the "saved" town drunk receive the same things as Billy Graham. It's easy to tell ourselves, "I'm saved, I'm going to heaven, I love Jesus, and then not follow Christ as instructed in His Word.
