Having two different residences in two different places creates a little problem. With Linda in Dallas and me in Corsicana ... and a whole lot of traveling up and down I-45 ... we have just decided to enjoy the decorations of Christmas that others have put up.

Our daughter has some beautiful outside lights that twinkle and gleam and a beautiful Christmas tree inside that's all decked out.

I enjoy opening the front door of the church in the evening with no lights on but those on the tree and wrapping the support columns. Simple little things ... Linda set up our "family" Nativity scene in my office where I see it constantly and am reminded of exactly why we celebrate this time of year.

I hope that you have your decorations out and up by now. I trust you are enjoying them. But think with me for a minute.

What good is it to decorate our family room, the exterior of our house, and even putting a wreath on the front of your car  ... IF your heart is not decorated with the Living Lord Jesus Christ? What good is a beautiful home if we don't have a beautiful heart? Think about it.
