I have just preached the introduction to the seven churches of the book of the Revelation. Starting a new preaching series is always exciting and when you couple with that the promise of God Himself for special blessings for all who read and hear the words of this book ... well, it's a really good thing!

This coming Sunday morning, we will take a glimpse of all seven churches as an overview of what is to come during this preaching series. This is the time to invite a friend, a co-worker, or a neighbor to get involved right from the start. The Book of Revelation has always been seen as "mysterious" or "cloaked." However, that is not correct. Where symbols are used, God's Word defines what those symbols are. Where there used to be a general lack of understanding, now (viewed through history unfolding all around us), we can understand what is going on.

This series will cover Revelation chapters 2 & 3. To give you a little taste of what is go come, I am going to list the churches for you and then give you a one-word definition ...

Ephesus - The Fallen Church
Smyrna: The Fearful Church
Pergamos: The Faltering Church
Thyatira: The False Church
Sardis: The Fruitless Church
Philadelphia: The Feeble Church
Laodicea: The Fashionable Church
