Linda and I play a game every Fall; how long can we wait before we have to turn on the furnace.  We will put on more clothes, use afghans, and anything else to avoid starting the furnace! Some years it has been mid to late December before we turn it on for the first time.

Not this year ... I fired it up last night for the first time as I couldn't stand it anymore. I couldn't get warm. The only solace I could take was that Linda was in Michigan with our son and his family and they have been running theirs for some time now.

I am enjoying it this morning.
