Systematic Theology

We ought not to be afraid of the term Systematic Theology ... here is Wikipedia's definition; Systematic theology is a discipline of Christian theology that attempts to formulate an orderly, rational, and coherent account of the Christian faith and beliefs. Inherent to a system of theological thought is that a method is developed, one which can be applied both broadly and particularly. Systematic theology draws on the foundations of the sacred texts of Christianity, and also looks to the development of doctrine over the course of history, philosophy, science, and ethics to produce as full a view and as versatile a philosophical approach as possible.
Geisler's complete masterpiece! Volume 1 covers the existence of God; truth's inevitability; divine revelation; and Scripture's origin and inspiration. Volume 2 addresses God's attributes and his working in history. Volume 3 examines sin; its defeat by Christ; and the assurance of heaven. Volume 4 studies church history and administration; and end-times theories. 2624 pages total, four hardcovers from Bethany.
This is one volume of four total. And it would be a good start to getting a better understanding of God and the Bible. It speaks to the layman and has a ton of good information. This set is in my library. I highly recommend it.
