My Pastor, Dr. Gregory Foster, FBC Hamilton Park

I have been away from my computer for most of the day. Running errands, working on next Sunday's message, and spending a little time with my Pastor, Dr. Greg Foster, FBC Hamilton Park in Rhchardson, TX.

I pulled this photo off of the official church web site. He rarely wears a robe and if he does, it is on 1st Sunday for the Lord's Supper. When Linda and I joined FBC Hamilton Park five years ago, it was because we knew that was where the Lord wanted us. In talking with the pastor about our decision, my biggest concern was that our joining wouldn't upset what he had going on at his church. We didn't want to be presumptuous and just assume it would be alright for us to join.

Pastor Greg opened his arms to us and said, "Preacher, we love Jesus here. We welcome you with open arms!" And it has been a wonderful five years of service, ministry, and making lifelong friends. Pastor has given me multiple opportunities to stand in his pulpit and preach to his people. He has drawn me alongside and allowed me to minister with him and his brother, Anthony, who is co-pastor.

It appears that God may be opening a new chapter in Linda's and my life while he closes one. However, pastor called today to let me know of his continued prayers and blessing.

God bless you, Pastor Greg. You are continuing the tradition that your father, J. Lee Foster, started. I am proud to be called a Son of First Church.
