Think About It ...

Paul knew the amazing power of praise. He remembered being in the Philippian prison with Silas, his co-worker. Beaten and in chains, they sang hymns to God, knowing that their joy came from him and not from their circumstances. It was then that the doors of the prison flew open and they were freed.

That is why Paul knew that these words would be meaningful to the Philippians. They had seen it firsthand.

They are meaningful for you as well. Whatever your difficult situation, it does not control you. Your joy comes from God. So rejoice. Soon he will fling open the doors of your situation and set you free as well.

Philippians 4:4 NKJV  "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
