See You at the Pole

WOW! What a great morning at Corsicana High School. The Lord was lifted up and highly praised. The superintendent, principal, and teachers were prayed for, and a huge crowd of high schoolers took part in the See You at the Pole.

There was a lot of curiosity, initially, and I heard some ask, "What's going on?" A few minutes later, during one of the prayers, a group of kids were talking loudly and another student asked them to be quiet ... that "We are praying!"

One of the offending kids then removed his hat and bowed his head.

You can see our Youth Minister, Michael Pool (he's the tall guy wearing the baseball cap) listening to the band as they praised the Lord and sang.

The crowd was HUGE! [Did I already say that?]

Juice and Donuts were provided and the kids just kept coming and coming. As buses pulled in to discharge their occupants,  many stayed to see what was happening.

Finally, after much singing and praying (remember, those involved were totally students ... no preachers, no teachers, no adult leadership) ...the students moved to the island where the flagpole was, made a huge circle around the pole, and prayed.

I am proud of ALL the ones who showed up and stayed; for those leading in prayer, serving refreshments, and boldy singing praise songs.

I am reminded, once again, that we evangelicals are just one generation away from extinction. This is our next generation and I like what I see.

God bless you.
