Great Day at Cornerstone Baptist Church

What a great day in the Lord at Cornerstone BC in Corsicana, TX! The College Class had a dozen students, the Youth Group had a "grundle of kids" (my way of saying a lot) ... and attendance in worship was great.

With all the hoopla of the PastorCarter.com blog, I got excited about the message and forgot all about my blog post about Mark Twain and the Prince and the Pauper. I never did get around to it and was reminded in the comments of this blog that I had blown it.

Quite simply, Mark Twain wrote a book in 1881 about how a pauper in London (Tom Canty) trades places with young Prince Edward (the 6th of Wales) and each experience how the other lives. That was the the tease for Philippians chapter 2 message, The Mind of Christ. How Jesus gave up His heavenly home to trade places here on earth and to become a man ... WOW!

I only finished half the sermon this morning so the congregation was gracious enough to let me finish it tonight. And ... I got them out of there in time for the Cowboy - Giant football game.

What a great day!
